* Waxing services cannot be performed on clients using Accutane, Retin-A, Renova or Microdermabrasion, chemical pell or laser.
* Hair needs to be at least ΒΌ inch long to be waxed or 3-4 weeks growth.
Important recommendations:
Avoid receiving waxing services in the following cases:
- if you have taken Accutane in the past 6 months
- if you have a skin irritation or a sunburn
- if you are prone to fever blisters
- if you received a Laser treatment or a chemical peel on the area in the past 6 months
- within 5 days of receiving a micro-dermabrasion treatment
- if you have received a daily retinoid topical treatment on the area in the past 3 months.
Pre-waxing instructions:
Please shower before a bikini wax
- Do not shave; hair should be at least 1/6 inch long
- Trim long bikini hair
- For decreased sensitivity, you may wish to consume a potassium rich drink or fruit (banana, orange juice)
- Avoid stimulants
- Receive the waxing service a few days in advance if you are preparing for a vacation or another special event, as skin may appear pink after waxing.
Post-waxing instructions:
- Stay out of the sun for a day or two
- Apply a soothing gel every day
- If you are prone to breakouts after waxing, you may have to apply a preventative acne control serum for 5 or more days after service.
- Receive another waxing service in 2-3 weeks if this is your first waxing service after shaving.
